Putin puts additional budget non-energy revenue at 200 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Jan 11 (PRIME) – Russia’s additional budget revenue unrelated to energy sales totalled 200 billion rubles, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the government on Wednesday.

“Since this morning we have been discussing with our colleagues from the administration, we know that the additional budget revenue not related to oil or gas and only non-oil and gas revenues, preliminarily totalled 200 billion rubles,” he said.

The additional revenue will help the government to solve the current tasks for development at federal and regional levels, Putin added.

He also said that Russia has all the resources for implementation of priority programs, and the government has set the six main areas of work for 2023.

Russia needs to strengthen its financial sovereignty, the government counts on the central bank, Putin said.

He also said that there is the need to achieve noticeable positive results in the development of road infrastructure, housing and utilities.

Putin said that Russia's economic policy should lead to the growth of Russians’ real wages and reduction of poverty and inequality. It is necessary to achieve the growth of real incomes of the population, while a downward inflation trend should be taken into account in the current economic policy, he also said.

Unemployment at the end of 2022 amounted to 3.7%, he also said.

The new Russian regions should be included in the national projects and must be provided with funding, Putin said.
